CORONA: Contact your physician if you are worried about going to work

Should you go to work after Easter if you are in the risk group or live with someone who is?

D 13. april 2020

This question has had a strong presence in the debate, because the government, the Ministry of Education and the health authorities have given different answers to the question.

At the moment, the answer to the question goes like this: If you are worried about going to work because you think that you are in the risk group or because you live with someone who is, you should contact your physician. Based on a specific and individual health evaluation, your physician will decide whether you should go to work or stay at home.

If your physician thinks that you should stay at home, please contact your school leader, and with her/him find a solution so that you can either work from home or in some other way avoid physical contact with anyone. If you and your leader cannot find a practical solution, please contact the Teachers' Union for Danish Independent Schools (Frie Skolers Lærerforening).

During the Easter holidays, the Teachers' Union for Danish Independent Schools and the other unions for teachers and educators have tried to put pressure on the politicians and the authorities for them to give more clear and strict answers to the question about risk groups. If we get new information, we will inform the union representatives.
