Frie Skolers Lærerforening (FSL) is a trade union for teachers and leaders employed by more than 750 private and independent schools (an alternative to the public school system) in Denmark.

The mission of Frie Skolers Lærerforening (FSL) is to maintain and advance the professional, educational, legal and economic interests of the members.

FSL is focusing on up-to-date knowledge in regard to working conditions of teachers and leaders at Danish private and independent schools. FSL offers concrete solutions to problems and challenges experienced by their members.

FSL activities include negotiation of a collective agreement every three years with the Danish Ministry of Finance, legal aid to members, local negotiations at private schools regarding wages and working hours and crisis/stress counselling.

The number of FSL members has increased every year and now exceeds 9.000.

FSL is a non profit private service organization owned by its members. The organization is led by elected leaders and is thus a democratic organization. The number of employees is approximately 37.
